#Ethiopia The power distribution station of Ethiopian Airlines, which was built by the contract management and control work carried out by the institution, has been completed and started to provide services.

The construction of a 132 KV power distribution station and a transmission line that can provide power to Ethiopian Airlines has been completed and started to be put into service, the Ethiopian Electric Power Engineering Department announced.

Girma Zeleke, director of the Department of Supervision and Contract Management in the sector, said that the institute's consulting activities have been growing from time to time.

In addition to Ethiopian Airlines, the institute is also carrying out consultancy work for Geda Special Economic Zone, Derba Cement, Lemi Cement, C&E Iron Smelter and Abai Cement.

The director stated that Ethiopian Electric Power has carried out the feasibility study, design approval, tender preparation, site inspection and contract management for the distribution station built for the airline.

According to the director, the project was built following a recommendation made by Ethiopian Electric Power for the airport to have its own power distribution station.

The director mentioned that the new power distribution station was built on a 132 KV power transmission line from Kaliti One to Kotebe, and was designed to provide electricity on both sides.

He stated that the construction of the power distribution station will enable Ethiopian Airlines to permanently solve the power shortage and interruption problems that have been faced repeatedly.

He said that Ethiopian Airlines has become a customer of Ethiopian Electricity due to the fact that it is a power user of 132 KV line.

The director stated that the operation and maintenance works of the power distribution station will be carried out by Ethiopian Electric Power, for which a Service Level Agreement has been signed with Ethiopian Airlines.

He said that the project was completed and ready for use within 18 months, with a budget of 7.9 million US dollars and 2.2 million Birr.

The financial cost of the project was fully covered by Ethiopian Airlines, and General Electric and CCCS jointly carried out the construction
