Ethiopia The Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute has announced that the technical and financial studies to launch the third satellite called ETRSS-2 have been completed.
According to Abdisa Yilma, Director General of Space Science and Geospatial Institute, preparations are being made to launch the third satellite by issuing an international tender.
He explained that financial and technical studies have been completed and included in the government's electronic procurement system.
He said that a tender document is being prepared and an international open tender will be issued in the next few months.
He said that the third satellite is of high power and will remain in space for a longer time than the first satellite.
He explained that in terms of service, the first satellite is an earth observation satellite.
